Preparing for your wedding day
When we meet for your initial complimentary interview, I will advise you of everything that you need to be legally married under Australian law. As an authorised civil marriage celebrant, I will take care of the legal forms and advise you on all your legal requirements. If you need visa questions answered, I can help you with these or I can also recommend migration agents.
The first step to planning the perfect wedding ceremony is to complete your Notice of Intended Marriage. (This document needs to be lodged at least 31 days before your wedding ceremony). For the first meeting you will need to bring the following items with you:
- Birth certificate (or your passport if you are not an Australian citizen)
- Details of previous marriages need to be provided at this stage also
- Evidence of death, nullity or dissolution (divorce papers, death certificate etc), if required
The second meeting will be less focused on the legal side and a little more about crafting the ceremony that you want to have. This is where we get to plan the venue/location, ceremony verses and wording of vows. Typically this meeting lasts between 1 -2 hours. After which I will create the ceremony plan and present the draught for your review. Once this is perfected, we can arrange rehearsals. For some couples rehersals are not an option, due to one or both being outside of the country and this is fine. If you still want to rehearse, but you are flying into Perth just for the wedding day, we can use technology to help, Skype or over the phone with the help of email.

Services include signing table with white linen tablecloth, sash and table decorations. Modern PA system.
Also include visa letters, if required.
